Councillor David Rothwell lives in the Good Hope area with his wife Elle and his 2 children. David has lived in the Yass area for many years and is very passionate about the Yass Valley community.
He believes in a council that works as a team on behalf of the community and to do this, the council needs to be transparent, approachable, and accountable.
David has worked for a commercial builder prior too accepting a job as the Quality Coordinator on the Yass Valley Council from 2008 to 2018 and now works for a private engineering company doing project management on unsealed/sealed roads, bridges, culverts etc and back in the day he also owned an earthmoving business.
He is passionate about the needs of our towns and villages within the Yass LGA and believes with his previous experience in road project management this will certainly help council in these areas.
David is representing the community to tell council what our priorities are – instead of Council telling us!
