Joe O'Connor Park

Joe O'Connor Park is located behind Yass Public School with entry off Laidlaw Street. A number of local sporting clubs call Joe O'Connor Park home, utilising the facility for Netball, AFL and Cricket.

The facilities at Joe O'Connor Park include an oval, cricket pitch, LED floodlighting, seven surfaced netball courts, one bitumen basketball court, two cricket nets, amenities building with accessible toilets (available for club use only) and a new boat ramp into Yass River which was completed in 2024.

Joe O’Connor Park is also home to a beautiful free designated area for self-contained Caravans and RV’s. Located alongside the picturesque Yass River with grassy areas and picnic tables available. Up to 48 hours free stay is permitted.
