2024 Senior's Festival
Yass Valley Council have organised some great activities around Yass and the surrounding villages for our Seniors to participate in as part of the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival. Please refer to list below for all available activities offered.
All events are free to the public and are limited to one booking per person to ensure a spot for everyone to join in on the fun.

Monday, 11 March
Knitting Group & Morning Tea
Come join the Yass Wrap with Love knitting circle for a morning of knitting and socialising at the Yass Valley Library. Weather you're a seasoned knitter or just starting out, this event is perfect for seniors looking to connect with others who share a passion for knitting.

Storytime with Grandparents

The Titfield Thunderbolt Movie Screening
The Titfield Thunderbolt is a 1953 British Comedy film where the residents of the village of Titfield are shocked to learn that their railway branch line to the town of Mallingford is going to be closed.
Come watch this film at the Yass Heritage Railway Museum before enjoying morning tea served on the platform.

The town walk in Yass is an easy way to see the history and heritage this town has to offer. There are up to 35 heritage buildings to visit and see and Europeans first entered the Yass area in 1821.
