Yass Valley Council would like to invite members from the community to nominate for the Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund Committee, joining Tilt Renewables and Yass Valley Council representatives.

Under the Deed of Variation of Community Enhancement Agreement between Yass Valley Council and Tilt Renewables (formerly The Rye Park Renewables Energy Pty Ltd), the Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund aims to support small, non-profit organisations and individuals in and around the Rye Park Wind Farm area (see map(PDF, 2MB)) by funding projects, goods, or services that benefit the broader community. At least 20% of the funds will be allocated to educational needs within 20km of the Rye Park Wind Farm area and the Yass Valley’s local government area (see map(PDF, 2MB)).

The Fund, including funding for education initiatives, will be administered by the Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund Committee, which comprises civic-minded community members who understand the region’s demographics, socioeconomic challenges, and areas where additional support may be required.

The initial Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund Grant Round is valued at $27,500.

Who can apply for funding?

Individuals, charitable or non-profit organisations within 20km of the Rye Park Wind Farm and located within the Yass Valley can apply for funds from the Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund. Applications must relate to an identified individual or community need/s in the surrounding area.

They must demonstrate how the funding will benefit the community directly or indirectly within their application.

Please submit a copy of the attached nomination form to express your interest in joining the committee, no later than 5pm, 17 March 2025.
