Got old paint tins, garden chemicals, or mystery bottles lurking in the shed? It’s time to clear them out safely and for FREE!

Where: Yass Transfer Station
When: Tuesday 8th April 2025
Time: 11:40am – 1:40pm (that’s when the Chemical Collection Truck will be there)

This is your chance to properly dispose of household chemicals under (20kg or 20L).

What can you bring?

From your home:

• Solvents and household cleaners
• Floor care products
• Ammonia-based cleaners
• Fluorescent globes and tubes

From your garage:

• Paint and paint-related products
• Pesticides and herbicides
• Poisons
• Gas bottles
• Fire extinguishers
• Pool chemicals
• Hobby chemicals
• Acids and alkalis

From your car:

• Car batteries
• Motor oils, fuels, and fluids

Please only bring your chemicals during the collection window (when the truck is onsite), otherwise the Waste Transfer Site staff won’t be able to accept them. Thank you for your co-operation!
