SUNDAY 26 JANUARY

Join us at Coronation Park, Yass, for our Australia Day ceremony to recognise our local community heroes. Start the morning with breakfast and coffee from 7:30 AM, provided by Yass Rotary and the CWA, and enjoy live music by the Yass Valley Concert Band. Our Citizenship Ceremony will welcome our newest Australians, and then mark the outstanding contributions of our local legends at the Australia Day Awards.

Murrumbateman Lions are holding their Australia Day community breakfast at Jones Park, Murrumbateman, from 7.30am. All our welcome.

Then enjoy free entry to the Yass and Binalong Pools from 1.00pm to close. Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled afternoon.

 

MONDAY 27 JANUARY

Australia Day Public Holiday Closures

Here's what you need to know about council facilities on the Monday, 27th January public holiday:

  • Yass Valley Information Centre: Open 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Pools: Open from 10 AM (no early morning swims)
  • Council Offices: Closed
  • Library: Closed
  • Transfer Stations: Closed Monday (open as usual on Sunday)
