Council welcomes guidance from Office of Local Government

Yass Valley Council welcomed Mr Brett Whitworth from the Office of Local Government (OLG) during Thursday’s council meeting. During his visit, he provided valuable advice and guidance to support the Council in its work to strengthen its current financial position and plan for the future.

Council welcomes $18.1 M National Water Grid funds for Yass Water Treatment Plant
Yass Valley’s 18.1-million-dollar application to the National Water Grid Fund has been successful. The Federal Member for Eden-Monaro, the Hon. Kristy McBain visited Yass on Thursday to announce the exciting news.

Free Food Safety Information Session for Hospitality Workers

Boil Water Alert Lifted

On Display Indefinitely

NSW Health has advised Yass Valley Council that the Boil Water Alert issued for Yass, Murrumbateman, Binalong, and Bowning can now be lifted.

Planning Proposal PP2024-765 – 34 Isabel Drive Murrumbateman

On display until 24 January 2025

Council has received a Gateway Determination from the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure dated 16 July 2024 allowing the proposal for Lot 27 DP 1301590, 34 Isabel Drive Murrumbateman to be placed on public exhibition.

Blue Green Algae Red Alert Issued for Burrinjuck Dam Wall

WaterNSW has issued a red alert advisory for high levels of blue-green algae for Burrinjuck Dam at the dam wall. This red alert follows the sighting of an algal scum in the water near the Dam wall.
